An unusual vintage Hamilton watch. Curved case watches are normally associated with the Gruen watch Company, with their Curvex models, but this long rectangular cased Hamilton has a gentle curve over the wrist and quite an impressive vintage timepiece. The movement in the watch is the high-grade 17 jewel Hamilton 989 movement, which was just serviced and is keeping excellent time. The case has been detailed and have some interesting original detail on the top and sides of the case. As you can see in the photographs, it is in excellent condition with no wear through the gold filling. The dial is all original and does have some patina to it, however it is not distracting and adds to the overall appeal of the watch. The case measures 45.5 mm long, which is 1.5 mm shorter than a modern Rolex Submariner! The case width excluding crown is 20 mm and the watch is supplied on a brand new Italian leather strap.
