This Omega Speedmaster watch is all original and virtually new old stock. Prior to servicing, I noticed the case back gasket had turned gooey as the original Omega gaskets from the 60’s and 70’s tended to do and the original red case seal was still sticking out of the gap between the back and the case. Further proof was the case back was engraved on the inside with the model number 145.022-74 indicating that the watch and caseback had been produced in 1974. The serial number of the movement in the 32,000,000 range, corresponds to this date. The calibre 861 movement sparkles and keeps excellent time after been serviced by my watchmaker. The bracelet appears to be brand new as the model number is 1171/1 which is the modern replacement for the original model 1171. The watch measures 42mm wide by 48mm long. Over all it is perhaps the finest original Speedmaster you will find and comes from a period of extensive space exploration
